  1. The "FaaastDSP" button in the mixing console enables 200%
  2. acceleration by processing just part of signals spectrum.
  3. It's intended for previewing and is automatically disabled
  4. when mixing down to disk.
  5.  
  6. It can be used productively with:
  7.  
  8. - clean mixing (no plugins)
  9. - plugins that are not bases on spectral processing (eg.
  10.   delays, compressors, expanders, stereo field processors,..)
  11.  
  12. It's not recommended when using plugins that provide spectral
  13. processing (eg. EQ,..) and/or hi-bandwith plugins (Vinilizer,
  14. RingMod,..).
  15.  
  16. WARNING: when toggling "FaaastDSP" on/off in realtime, delay
  17. based plugis will exhibit a pitch change that fades away in
  18. a few seconds. That's normal, and equivalent to a tape-speed
  19. change in vintage tape-based delay boxes.
